Hey Friends, Welcome to My Blog
Hi there! I’m thrilled you’re here.
My name is Sarah, and I’m an aspiring novelist currently working on my book, The Crown Between Kingdoms. I’m also pursuing my degree in Creative Writing, which feels like a huge step toward a dream I’ve carried for as long as I can remember—to be a writer.
“My mother said to me, ‘If you are a soldier, you will become a general. If you are a monk, you will become the Pope.’ Instead, I was a painter, and became Picasso.” – Pablo Picasso
I’ve always loved writing, but the moment I truly fell in love with stories was in 9th grade, thanks to my teacher, Ms. Robin. She opened my eyes to the world of reading in a way I’d never experienced before. Through her encouragement, I discovered how powerful words could be. Poetry and storytelling became my way of expressing myself—pouring my thoughts, emotions, and imagination into words on a page. Writing became my refuge, my joy, and my voice.
Starting this blog is a little scary, honestly, but it’s something I’ve wanted to do for years. It’s my way of finally saying: Yes, I’m chasing this dream, and I want to share the journey with you.
Why I’m Here
Writing has always been a part of me. I was that kid scribbling stories in notebooks, daydreaming about far-off kingdoms, and creating characters who felt more like friends than fictional creations. I still remember one afternoon in middle school, sitting under a tree with my notebook and realizing I had created an entire kingdom in my head. That sense of wonder hasn’t left me since.
This blog is my space to be open about the messy, exciting, frustrating, and joyful parts of being a writer. I’ll share updates about my book, lessons I’m learning in school, and little sparks of creativity along the way. You’ll also get behind-the-scenes looks at my characters, my worldbuilding process, and how my own life experiences shape the stories I tell.
A Personal Note 💙
I’m also a single mom, and one of the biggest reasons I’m chasing this dream is for my son. I want him to grow up knowing that nothing in life can stop you from going after what you love. Life is hard, yes—but dreams are worth fighting for.
“If you can dream it, you can do it.” – Walt Disney
Being a parent and a writer at the same time isn’t always easy. There are late nights when I’m exhausted but still scribbling ideas in a notebook, and mornings when it feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day. But every moment is worth it because I want to show him—and anyone reading this—that creativity, courage, and determination can help you reach your dreams, no matter the obstacles.
What You Can Expect
Here on the blog, you’ll find a mix of things:

Let’s Do This Together
